MCC Bolivia works with partners in a variety of areas including peacebuilding and conflict prevention, conservation and food security, water access, and income generation. We also run our own program that reaches out to Low German Mennonite colonies though German-language publications and a drop-in center and library. Recently, the addition of two year terms workers with the Seed program has allowed us to work in the western, Andean region of Bolivia and support partners. In our next cycle, we will have Seed workers with organizations working in environmental justice, community-run water systems, youth empowerment and urban gardens, soil conservation and Maca production, as well as with women from mining families. Working within the Plurinational State of Bolivia, MCC is very appreciative of the constant blessing of the rich cultural diversity present in the country and the possibility to experience it with a team with members from across North, South, and Central America.
